Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park


After present Mount Bromo, Travel & Vacation to Indonesia would proudly present you another main tourist destination in East Java, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is 50.276 hectares wide national park in East Java  which is administratively located among four district region of Pasuruan, Malang, Lumajang, and Probolinggo.




This national park was established  on 1982. The main attraction which is become favourite of tourist is the exotic scenery of mountain ranges of Mount Bromo and Mount Semeru. Mount Bromo is very known with it amazing scenery of sea of sand and many attraction object, while Mount Semeru is known as the highest mountain in Java island. Mount Semeru is especially attract tourist which have hobby  as the climbers. Even if to get the summit of Mount Semeru is not as easy as climb Mount Bromo. To climb Mount Semeru, hiker required to obtain permission from National Park Management Officer. The hikers advised to start climbing from Malang because they can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea of sand longer than through other route.

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is also function as ecosystem to protect the endangered flora and fauna. Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park has a type of sub-montane ecosystems, montane and sub-Alphin with large trees which is hundreds of years old such as mountain pine, jamuju, edelweiss, various species of rare orchids and grasses.

Some endangered and protected animals in this national park are  luwak ( Pardofelis Marmorata ), Deer (Cervus timorensis), Kijang (Muntiacus Muntjak),Leopard (Panthera pardus), Long- Tailed Macaques/ Kera Ekor Panjang (Macaca fascicularis), Red Jungle Fowl/ Ayam Hutan Merah (Gallus Gallus), Bido Snake Eagle (Spilornis cheela Bido), Black Srigunting (Dicrurus macrocercus), Ajag (Cuon alpinus), and various species of birds like The Kestrel Bird (Accipiter virgatus), Hornbills (Buceros rhinoceros silvestris), Scaly- Breasted Falcon (Haliastur indus), etc.
